While researching this designer, I came across an interesting fact that he designed a new set of military uniforms for the Russian armed forces. This was very interesting as I have always been intrigued by the attires of the armed men as it has a tendency to be not only striking, but utterly flamboyant at times. I found out later that the new uniforms were not adopted due to lack of funds, a pity as they really display a nice heritage of old Russia mixed in with some modern touches.

a.Testoni featured an all white ensemble to bring focus to their selection of leather goods. While the audience waited with bated breath, the Italian brand paid homage to classic films by screening them before the show.

Am also looking forward to the work of Kim Choong-Wilkins, who has collaborated with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Ermenegildo Zegna and Matthew Williamson. His label, Bodybound, would be shown during Men’s Fashion Week 2011.
In about half an hour, at exactly 10am, tickets for Men’s Fashion Week 2011 will be on sale for the public. At only SGD$40 per ticket, 100% of the proceeds will go towards charity, so you get to have fun and at the same do some good.

BLUEPRINT 2011: Fact Sheet
Singapore’s very own international fashion trade show is back for another year with a 4 day trade exhibition from 19 to 22 May 2011 at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore. A special segment, the BLUEPRINT Emporium will also be open to the fashionable public from 21 to 22 May.
The Emporium will not only showcase sample and sale items,you would also get to purchase some limited edition and exclusive hand made apparel and accessories. The Emporium would be a one stop shopping destination for people of all ages.

#1 BLUEPRINT Tradeshow includes 4 main sections, BLUEPRINT Showcase, BLUEPRINT Presents, BLUEPRINT Next Gen and BLUEPRINT Accessorize.

#3 Designers hail from all over the globe, including New York, UK, Singapore, Bangkok and many more!
#4 Also, the event would see the launch of Cruise collection from emerging local and international designers from the likes of Sifr, KTZ, Noël Caleb, Jose Duran and Jatalika.

Audi Fashion Festival 2011: Fact Sheet
The most anticipated fashion show is back in Singapore with not 5 but 7 days (13-19th May 2011) of exciting lineups from both international and Asian brands. Apparently Audi Fashion Festival is ranked the 3rd in Asia and 15th in the world. Now that’s something we could all be proud of.
To whet your appetite in the fastest way, here is a need-to-know fact sheet which you should learn by heart.
#1 International Designers lineup include…Missoni (opening show!), House of Ungaro (closing show!) and Antonio Beradi.
#2 All three generations of the Missoni family will be gracing the opening show!
#3 Asian Designers lineup include Atelier Swarovski by Prabal Gurung (yes! he would be here!), Raoul, alldressedup, and Greyhound.
#4 Jewellery lovers would be pleased to know that Tiffany & Co are the official jeweller for the show and would be collaborating with Vera Wang to display some dazzling (eye-blinding) pieces.
#5 Audi car for the show would be the spanking new Audi A1! (As what Dick Lee said, ‘I want one!’)
#6 Show tickets will be made available from mid-March through SISTIC.

Fancy a fancy suit?
I’m no expert but Tom Ford sure is when it comes to suits. He’s created the perfect smart look (in my opinion), all men should adopt when heading out. The way to go is to get perfectly fitted suits in interesting colours or bold prints and finish the look with a pair of outstanding shoes!
It is definitely old school especially with the hairdo, but you men out there sure are a creative bunch, change the hairdo (long or short) and the outfit would still work.
I understand printed jackets may not be every man’s cup of tea but give it a try. Add some fun in your outfits, not just with colours but go with the prints too!
By the way, I’m really liking the wide lapels.

Mulberry Spring 2011 Ad Campaign
I love Mulberry campaigns! The models always seem to be having so much fun in their photography sets and sometimes even with their hairdo. After all, modeling should be a fun process. The campaign was shot by Tim Walker, featuring models Lindsey Wixson and Nimue Smit.
